About Us
Our Story
Liz Bevilacqua opened Dussich Dance Studio in Cocoa Beach, FL back in 1958, with only 25 students. In 1983, the studio relocated to Merritt Island, FL in order to acquire a facility that was more centrally located and larger to accommodate all students. Dussich Dance Studio has been a member of the Brevard Cultural Alliance, the Dance Community of Brevard, and we have supported the Maxwell C. King Center for the Performing Arts at Eastern Florida State College. Our dance faculty are certified members of professional dance organizations and attend workshops, conventions and competitions throughout the year in order to continue their own dance education and knowledge. Mrs. Liz Has been a Certified Instructor with Florida Dance Master for more than 60 years (formally Dance Masters of American). Her daughter Anna now owns the business, and has been certified with Florida Dance Masters for more than 40 years.
Our Philosophy
We believe in developing The Whole Dancer with not only our curriculum, but also in our guidance in health, nutrition, and performance techniques both on and off the dance floor. We teach students that dance is fun as well as physically, mentally, and spiritually rewarding.
Our Motto
DANCE IS OUR PASSION — and it's a healthy and happy pastime, which is why we do what we do. The rewards from dance can last a lifetime! Our classes are structured to teach the very young to the young-at-heart. The limitations are few but the benefits are many!
